    16″ or 24″ center roof rafters? Find one rafter on vertical vent and you know where to expect the next one?

    Never seen it before, but that’s my theory.

    Never seen them on a saw before, cool though. We use a tape strip at these intervals on axe and roof hook handles, so the sounding FF can lay it out after sounding a member, or after an inspection cut is made.
